Brittany Holiday Cottage with Pool

This Brittany holiday cottage provides a double bedroom that has exposed beams with en-suite plus 2 additional bedrooms one being a double,the other a twin and additional family bathroom.

Down stairs its all open plan with exposed beams through out with a lovely wood burner to keep you warm in the winter months while the stone walls of the cottage keep it lovely and cool in the summer. French doors lead you out onto your own private south facing terrace that gives you access to the garden and private pool.

The gite is equipped with TV-DVD player plus a selection of books for all ages and a few board games to entertain. A well equipped kitchen comprising of a fridge freezer, microwave cooker, washing machine,dish washer, coffee maker and gas cooker.Outside in the garden is a BBQ, a Boule court, children's swings and a chicken run so your children can check for fresh eggs each morning during your stay and inter-react with the hens.

The cottage offers use of a gym so you can enjoy the french cuisine and still keep trim. The gym was created at the start of 2008 and allows for any ability to have a good workout.

If you would like a training partner or for someone just to guide you through an exercise program I am more than willing to assist.

Included within the gite's rental

All services plus bed linen. If required a cot,high chair and stair gate can also be provided. Central heating and logs can be provided during low season at an additional charge.

Additional items avalable to rent and services

A towel hire service is offered plus an end of let cleaning service to create a hassle free holiday during your stay at the cottage. If required a baby sitting service can also be arranged via a local English mother of two.

April seems to be an undiscovered month for good weather here in Brittany by holiday makers, i have been here now for 4 seasons and every April so far the weather has been great having been able to sun bath for 3 out of the 4 weeks.  April 2010 was another great month for some early sun and guest staying this year enjoyed the heated pool which is ready for use at the start of the month, as a special offer the normal price per week is £549, if you book 2 weeks the price will be £749.In addition to the discounted price we offer a flexible day for your holiday to commence during April if you book 2 weeks. Brittany Holiday Cottage with Private heated Pool

Having private use of a swimming pool is a wonderful bonus for a cottage in Brittany, being heated why not enjoy a swim under the stars, the night air may be chilled but when you plunge into the water the pool feels wonderful and with the pool lights on its a great experience that's highly recommended.

With no distractions around the pool its a great opportunity to teach children to swim or simply to relax amongst the sub tropical planting surrounding the pool area.

Special announcement: Due to the pool having been requested for the end of October by guest staying week starting 23rd, the pool will remain open throughout October, book any week in October for £349 and enjoy the private heated pool.

Fishing at the cottage

Apart from the river Tarun with its run of wild trout just 100 meters from the cottage and the river Blavet which is renowned throughout France as a great Carp river and in 2006 was voted best course river in France, i have just found a lovely 2 acre lake just 5 minutes drive from the property. Its privately owned so no fishing license needed and is stocked with Carp, Bream,Roach,Pike,Perch and Zander.Most often or not you will have the sole use of the lake and its heavily stocked so a great place to fish yourself or to teach your children. I have also located some wonderful places to sea fish from the beach and will be happy to advise of where the Bass,Sea Bream or Eels run. Tide tables can be provided during your stay and a rod and reel are available if you fancy a try on the Tarun or a beach caster for shore fishing.I have just started a blog on life in Brittany and will post fishing reports during the year.

During the low season we offer flexible start dates for your holiday to accommodate your travel arrangements and offer special rates for longer stays, for those wishing to use La Forge as a base for house hunting or to simply enjoy more of Brittany.

 

Cycling -walking at the Brittany Cottage with pool

Brittany is famous amongst cyclist for its fantastic varied cycling terrain with the added bonus of very light traffic on the roads. La Forge is perfectly situated for some wonderful rides around the surrounding area and most weekends your find competitions being held during the spring and summer months, in 2008 the Tour de France passed La Forge just 2 miles away.

If you prefer a more leisurely pace then you wont be disappointed with treks to take on foot to enjoy the flora,wildlife and beautiful Breton countryside.

The bridge crossing the river Tarun is just 100 meters from the cottage where you can spot wild trout, Otters or  play' Poo Sticks ' with the children.

Enjoy messing around on the water at the cottage

If you enjoy messing around in boats and want to partake during your stay at La Forge, facilities are close by to hire all sorts of water craft ranging from motor boats, sailing craft and canoes.

If you would rather sit back and let someone else be captain then there are many locations where cruises can be taken to view the beautiful coast and Islands of Brittany.
